The finding, stated plainly
We went looking for a published gluten status statement from each of the three major brewing yeast suppliers. None of the three publishes one anywhere findable on their public site.
That is not an accusation. All three publish technical documentation, and a gluten or allergen statement may well sit inside a strain-level spec sheet or be available on request. But it is not surfaced, and the practical consequence is the same: you will have to ask, per strain, in writing. Do not plan on downloading a policy page — there is not one.
Supplier claims are their claims
When you do get a statement, it is what that supplier says about its own product. It is not independent verification, not a test result on your lot, and it does not transfer to your label. Treat it as a supplier specification — the way supplier qualification treats every other input.
Our experience
Tier: Verified — meaning we read what they publish, not that we tested anything.
We have not tested any of these products for gluten and have not audited any facility. The date shown means: on that day, we searched each supplier's public site for a gluten statement and recorded what we found — which was, in all three cases, nothing.
The question that actually matters
Not "is yeast gluten-free." Yeast is a fungus; trivially yes.
The question is what was it propagated on. Commercial yeast grows on a nutrient medium, and some brewing yeast propagation media have historically been barley- or malt-derived. Pitched at volume, medium residue arrives in your wort.
So when you get a statement, sort it — these are not the same claim:

A supplier that addresses the propagation medium explicitly has understood the question. Finding out which ones do is most of the value here.
How to approach them / what to ask
Ask about the propagation medium by name. "Is this yeast gluten-free" invites a marketing answer. "What is this strain propagated on, and is any component barley-, wheat-, or malt-derived?" invites a technical one.
Ask per strain, not per company. Propagation can differ across a range, and a company-wide statement may not cover what you are pitching.
Ask for the technical data sheet, not the web page. That is the document you file with the batch record and produce to the FDA if asked — see Labeling Rules.
Ask whether they test, to what threshold, and per-lot or periodic.
Re-ask annually. Media and facilities change; published statements lag.
