How these pages work — the rules that apply identically to all of them
Two kinds of entry. Where a person or organization is already described in the research directory, these pages carry a pointer: name, role, subjects touched, and a link to the page that owns the description. Where they are not — the working brewer, the kiln operator, the certifier who has published nothing — these pages carry the entry itself, briefly. Nothing is described in two places.
Organizations sit inside the role they perform. A malthouse is a maltster; a testing lab is a lab. There is no catch-all organizations page, because an entity is defined by its work exactly as a person is.
What a listing means. Described, never endorsed. A name here is a map reference, not a recommendation, and it implies no relationship with this site.
What qualifies. A public-facing role, body of work, platform, or commercial offering. Private individuals are not listed without consent, and nobody is listed for hobby activity alone.
Corrections and removals. Anyone listed can ask for a correction or removal — contact us.
