Participants
Nobody is listed here for existing. This page is about participation: data shared, lots reported, methods tried and written up, corrections sent, questions answered. It is a smaller list than People by design, and it will stay smaller.
How to read it — what participation means, and what being listed does and doesn't say
Listing follows contribution, not application. People appear here because of something they did that is on the record — not because they joined anything.
Consent first. Nobody is listed as a participant without agreeing to be. That includes people already listed on People for their public work: appearing there is a map reference; appearing here is a statement about a relationship, and that requires a yes.
Attribution, not ranking. Contributions are recorded with credit to the person who made them. There are no tiers, badges, or scores.
One description per person. Where someone is already described elsewhere on the site, this page records what they contributed and points at the rest.
Section in draft — the participation categories below are structure, not yet a roster.
What counts as taking part — the kinds of contribution this page records
Not yet written. The categories we expect to cover:
- Data and lot records — malt analyses, brewing results, cultivar or lot data shared for publication.
- Method write-ups — a process run, documented, with its numbers.
- Corrections and verification — catching an error, checking a claim, supplying a source.
- Answering the open questions — work against the research asks.
- Review — reading drafts in a field the reader knows better than we do.
Who has taken part — the record, with attribution
No entries yet — a documented zero, not an oversight. Nobody has contributed data, a batch record, or a review to this site from outside it yet, so there is nothing to attribute. The first entry lands here the day that changes.
How to take part — the pathway in
Not yet written. It will be written once the contribution route is settled. It should answer, plainly: what to send, where to send it, what happens next, what we will and won't publish, and how attribution works.*
How we work together — consent, privacy, safety, and correction
Not yet written. the ground rules: what being listed means, what we publish and never publish, how to be corrected or removed, and the safety framing this site owes anyone brewing for a celiac reader.*
