Community Directory
Two senses of "community" live here, and the difference matters. This section covers everyone working in gluten-free brewing, whether or not they work with us — a breeder in South Africa who has never heard of this site belongs in it exactly as much as a homebrewer who writes to us every week. It also covers the part of that world that engages with this site's work. Both are real, they are not the same thing, and no page here blurs them.
- People — everyone, by role. Growers, maltsters, brewers, researchers, suppliers, certifiers, writers. Participation-agnostic: being listed here says only that someone does this work.
- Participants — the commons. Who engages with this site's work, what they contribute, and how to take part.
- Discussion — the conversation itself.
How this section relates to the rest of the site
The Research Directory indexes subject → work → who did it: a person appears on the sorghum page because of sorghum work. This section indexes the other direction — person → what they do → subjects they touch — which surfaces people the research axis has no way to hold: the head brewer who has never published, the maltster running the kiln, the certifier, the educator.
Where a person already has an entry in the research directory, this section points at it rather than restating it. Where they do not, this section is their entry. Nothing is described twice.

Work in gluten-free brewing and think you belong here? Tell us about it. Entries are added on merit once verified, and a listing is a map reference — never an endorsement.
